I purchased this costume for my 12yo daughter's upcoming medieval festival. She is thin (usually wears a girls size 16/jr. size XS) in tops & is about 5'2" tall. We ordered the size large. The dress fits a little big through the bodice, but it ties in the back so the fit can be adjusted. The size chart indicates the height is 58-60 inches & that is accurate. The dress is a little short for my daughter, but will still work fine even if I don't figure out a way to add some extra length. The fabric of the dress is a nice weight (not too thin) & the color is very pretty (vibrant deep blue). As mentioned by other reviewers, the head piece is not stuffed as shown in the picture. However, this can easily be remedied by adding your own stuffing. Overall, very nice costume for the price. As always, the shipping from Buy Costumes was very fast!

The dress was very nice. My daughter loved it when I surprised her with it. It ran a little big, but she will wear it for a couple of years at least. The head piece was a waste. It was not a stuffed roll as pictured (and traditional) but was flat and sewn with the seam on the outside so looked like it was made incorrectly. The headpiece was not wearable which was very disappointing. I don't think I can even fix it myself.

I bought this costume for my daughter and she is thrilled with it. It wouldn't work for a medieval reenactment, but is great for Halloween or for a nice dress up dress.

My daughter really liked the dress but it was too itchy and the size was too big.

My daughter needed a costume to wear to a Renaissance Festival that she is going to on a field trip. The color and size were what we expected. I also ordered the next size up since she was between two sizes, but the smaller size was a truer fit. It is a little short, but that is okay since they will be walking around and up and down stairs.

We ordered this costume for my daughter to go to the Rennaissance Festival with school. We ordered the size according to the measurements provided online. It was WAAAYYY too big. I did not have time to return it for a smaller size, so I had it hemmed and the sides pulled in. Also, the head piece is not nearly as cute as in the picture. The material however is decent and the costume is most certainly soft and comfortable.

My 7 year old loved this costume. The colour is much nicer than it shows on-line... a rich royal blue. Nice details at the sleeves. The headband completes the look. Soft, velvet-like fabric.True to size. Great dress-up play value. We got a fake rose at the dollar store to copy the model's pose.Recommended for your little Juliet!

My little girl will be seven on November the 14th. She was at the top of the height for the small costume. I was worried that it might be too small. Actually, it fits her perfectly. It is not too long or too short. She can run without tripping. It is absolutely beautiful. She feels like a pretty princess in it. It is so comfortable. It is hard to keep her out of it. Just be sure to measure. We are more than pleased.

Nice dress, nice quality, good deal for price. Certainly beats trying to make it my self.

The costume is very nice. My daughter wants it to pretend play Queen Elizabeth. But the head band was not at all as pictured. It comes as a thin limp piece of fabric that is more like a cloth headband, than the lovely band which has some height and width to it in the picture. I feel that the picture should show an accurate view of what the customer is receiving, not the fault of Buy costumes as it's the picture from the packaging. I'm going to alter it and stuff it to give the headband some life. Also the costume is a bit long. My 8.5 year old has to pick it up to walk, but she says that's what the Queen would have done anyway LOL

I am pleased with the Juliet gown and my grandaughter was thrilled on Christmas morning. When the box arrived I wrapped it without opening it so it was a surprise for me as well. The gown is well made, the color is true to the picture and my grandaughter says it is comfortable to wear.I ordered the little purse as an afterthought and it is pretty enough for actual use.I did stuff the headpiece with cotton. This purchase and customer service exceeded my expectations. My little girl picked this one to compliment her twin brother's Robin Hood--I call it the Norman Princess. I love that it is WARM, made of a really nice crushed velvet, and she can wear a warm shirt underneath and even sweatpants and still look fabulous. The fit is true to size, although I had to stuff the headband with cotton to get the look in the photo.
