Worked well with the Pax closet from Ikea. Had to drill 2 holes for the rear mounting screws.

I'm always swiveling the hanger and hanging something on whatever shelf is available to put together an outfit. Or if for what ever reason I don't want to hang it at that moment in it's correct spot, it goes....somewhere. Now I have a dedicated spot, with easy access for all that! I also use it to hang my empty hanger on when I've just taken something off the hanger to wear. That way I don't have to go searching for it. Plus it can be pushed back out of the way when not needed. It glides easily and is very sturdy. I've hung quite a bit of weight on it when I hung my doubled up scarf organizer on it, and it didn't have a problem at all. I like the sleek chrome look too.<br />My only complaint is that I wish it was about 3 inches longer.

I've been looking at this item for a long time, and finally ordered one. Unfortunately, the bar that slides out is too short, and therefore, does not stick out past the edge of the hangers in my closet. It is heavy duty and would probably work in the right place, but I do not have another spot for it. Great idea, but needs to be a couple inches longer.

Very handy to hang shirts on after they come out of the dryer. We have it attached to a shelf in the laundry closet and it's easy to install and use.

Useful and sturdy; glad we got them. Unlike a similar rod we found already installed when we moved in, this valet rod does NOT pull completely out of the holder. Thus no risk of it falling out and dumping the things you had hanging from it Vertical spacing of holes [for attachment] is perfect for the closet system already in place. Horizontal spacing not so much; we had to drill holes to match, but that was pretty easy.
