Update: the main body of the filter leaked and flooded our basement. Absolutely do not purchase. See new picture. We have well water that somehow inexplicably creates mineral deposits after the whole house filter. These seem to only end up in the cold water line for our washer. They then clog the washer screen once a month. It's a pain to clean that. We tried another filter, but it restricted the flow so much that sometimes the washer would give up on its filling cycle. Not with this new filter. So far it has been great. Time will tell how much it truly filters and we will report back if we find it does not work ask advertised. For now though we have our flow back. It is easily removeable for backwashing when it does get clogged. Much easier than climbing over the washer to get to the back side.

This threads right onto a faucet or end of a garden hose. Couldn't be easier to use. Inexpensive, disposable. Great for catching bits of debris when filling up the water tank on your RV. Heavy duty plastic housing.

I have well water and use this filter on a hydrant that feeds soaker hoses and a drip irrigation system. Before I started using filters I clogged both systems with silt within a season. This inline design is much easier to install and change than previous models I've used that require mounting and additional hoses. I recommend this product.
