I'm a knife maker. I can get knives pretty sharp. My Father, cannot. So I get him the pull through knife sharpeners to help. I got him this in 2018. It is great. But then I got him other, fancier pull throughs with more options and fancier stuff, for several times the price. They didn't work, and I'm back to this sharpener. It's amazing how quick it works, and how well of a job it does without the carbide wheels gouging out so much material.

I clean a LOT of fish, thus, my filet knives get dull. I've tried a lot of sharpeners, so i though I'd try a RADA.......WOW. A few passes and my filet knives were back to hair popping sharp. Well worth the 16 bucks.

I brought this as replacement of one I had for a very long. Working just fine, somehow has been misplaced. Maybe thrown away by mistake. Anyway had to have another one, didn't want to be without the sharpener. Does a great job keeping my Rada knives good and sharp.

If you are looking for a sharpener that does the job plus is compact and durable. This is it! I received one as a gift, I liked it so much I just purchased one for a gift to give, it is easy to use, in just a few passes your knife is ready to get to work.
