Pamela's Products was purchased by Ancient Harvest at the beginning of 2020. Unfortunately, the usual pattern of new owners is to cheapen product ingredients and/or packaging in order to squeeze more profit out of the company. We have always found this a little ironic since it is the success of the products as a result of the quality of ingredients and packaging that makes the company so attractive to new owners to begin with. When you start to cheapen products, you lose customers because there are always companies willing to step into this gap with better quality products, which has happened to a number of once good, small health food companies. In the case of brownies, the new owner has removed molasses, the first and therefore most prevalent ingredient in the mix. Molasses is lower in carbs and higher in vitamins and minerals than honey but now the mix contains only honey. We also don't think the new packaging is at all an improvement. The old Pamela's packaging was truly unique and easily recognized. The new packaging looks cheap and it probably is. Sorry to see this product line go down this path. R. I. P. Pamelas
