Causes: Crime & Law, Rehabilitation Services for Offenders

Mission: Our mission is to reduce recidivism by supporting and advocating alongside those with court and justice involvement. Our vision is to be a leader in decreasing the prison population by supporting and empowering those who are most affected by crime, trauma, and incarceration. We will treat everyone with dignity and respect and will not pass judgement, as we seek justice and redemption. We will be community centered and act according to the greater good of the people we serve. To the best of our ability, we strive to do no harm to the people we serve and the communities we live in.

Results: Last year, we assisted over 2,906 people. There were so many pressing needs on top of our regular programming and services - we provided food, clothing, electronics, temporary shelter, medications, cash assistance, and offered support with finding employment and permanent housing, held technology 101 virtual classes, did 1 to 1 virtual care to assist individuals in pre-trial and post-incarceration with accessing the resources they needed to survive. 2020 was a whirlwind of a year. We served more people than we've ever served. NONE of our program participants returned to jail/prison - we still maintain a zero percent recidivism rate! At the height of the pandemic, we worked hard to support individuals who were being released. With a huge amount of support from the community, we were able to provide temporary shelter, rent and eviction support, food, hygiene and supplies and continued with our work in a virtual environment.
