I got this larger area rug for a high traffic area and it's been wonderful! It's very low pile but the pile is dense and super soft. It's light enough to be easily picked up and moved but heavy enough to lay flat and stay in place when walked on. I have another rug nearly identical to this one that I've been using for over a year and it's still in great shape so I have no doubt this one will hold up just as well. As far as washing it in the washing machine.... Yes, of you can fit it in, it'll wash, but it won't necessarily spin the water out well because of the rubber backing. I have to put mine out on the wash line to dry. Overall, it's a great, low pile rug.

I like this rug - the traditional pattern, velvet texture, nonslip back - all great! It is a little less saturated than the pics show. The only thing I wish is that it had some other color mixed in with the green. It feels a bit flat without some variation in color - it's truly only green - dark, medium, light - but all the same green.

Good quality rug that is slip resistance. It's too bad the 'green' color was not the same color shown in photo. Instead, the color is more blue. Like a turquoise blue - which is bluish green. I wanted a regular green color. Something to keep in mind if you are looking for a true green color. The rug is really nice though and I kept it since it still matched.
