I'm a software engineer looking to build some internet enabled devices and this is a great teaching tool! I am already on lesson 8. Electronics is my thing so this is pretty straight forward and I'm just getting my feet wet and ready and looking forward to the more advanced sections. I bought the two versions of the sensor kit. Prob overkill. One has the mercury switch and the other one doesn't but having duplicates just means I can have various projects sitting around and have enough parts ... If that makes any sense.

Used this entire kit to help me achieve a degree in Mechatronics Technology.

Great set, especially for the money. However instructions online are a little confusing. Needs a better manual and it could be a perfect set to learn. Quality is excellent.

Going to college to learn this and this kit has already taught me more than I've learned in school. It's way cheaper too. Love this thing!

I used this for a school project as a senior in college. It came with the basic parts I needed and came with parts I will use for future projects. I even stumbled upon a YouTube channel by Paul McWhorter where he uses the Uno (not Mega) kit to complete the projects step by step and it is super easy to follow. I've been scrolling through the channel all day. It has helped me through this project and given me ideas for other projects! Although it is not Arduino brand it works just like it! 10/10 would recommend based on the youtube channel alone

I used this to get my way intp the whole Arduino world. I already had fair coding skills, so this kit was a great sandbox to get started with. I didn't RTFM, just plugged stuff in and got going. Nice selection of goodies to play with.

I'm writing this in Jan 2023. I got this as a way to automate some things on my model trains. The core kit has a lot of good hardware. The documentation is not the best. First, the directions say to get the programmer's software directly from Arduino. What they don't say is that there are two versions to choose from. The Arduino site suggests the use of the most recent, but that doesn't work. I needed to get the prior version so you have access to the serial connection configurations that are in the directions.The base directions for all the interfaces and tools are ok but there is no real explanation of the programming language. The Arduino site isn't any better for programming syntax structures. For that, you're going to have to hunt around on YouTube and resign yourself to some trial and error.Given the alternatives for home and hobby automation, this kit is a great value. You're just going to have to accept a little more than normal trial and error as part of your learning curve.

So the kit provides a great value for beginners like me to learn Arduino. Plenty of components to make experiments with, and because it's all standard you can buy more from companies like Adafruit.My one major caveat is that the instructions provided really don't tell you WHAT the commands do. They give you a pre-written script to install on the Mega, and instructions on how to connect everything. But nothing about what the commands do or how to write scripts. I had to buy another book for that.Overall it's a good value for the amount of parts you get, but don't rely on the included instructions to actually learn how to write code for the board.

I love Elegoo's printers, and this kit is a lot of fun. Breaks everything down to a level that is easy to understand. They also have updated versions of all the driver, scripts, and documents on their site. Components are very high quality, and I have had no issues with any of them. Wiring diagrams make it easy to learn.

This product was delivered quickly and included all described parts. I have not looked at the instruction DVD but my teenage son loves it! I'd say it was a hit.

I am new to this and this kit is amazing. The first time I opened the box I probably sat there for 4 hours building things it was so much fun. Prob for ppl 12 and up.

I am 32 years old with a strong grasp of technology. I bought this product to just have fun around the house and upon opening all you have is a disk for instructions. The disk points you to installer devices and driver updates and this and that... I gave up because they need better instructions. A physical book would have been much better for this item. The items came nicely packaged, but I'm not going to spend time figuring this out. Too much work. Not made for a child in setting up.

It's so great and there are plenty of videos on YouTube that go along with the tutorials for this kit so it's easy to find a teaching style you like. I knew absolutely NOTHING about micro controllers and now I'm building and designing things for the fun of it and to make various ideas come to life. I highly recommend it for everyone. I'm 40 and just now learning these things. I honestly believe anybody with an interest can learn this. They do such a wonderful job of giving you everything you need to get started.

Gave this as a gift to someone interested in playing with electronics. He loved it.
