Some weekend warriors are obviously attempting to install this tool incorrectly. FYI-it was never intended to grab the teeth of the gear. It's attached on the inner diameter of the cam gear. Again not the teeth. It's also universal not magical. It's not going to fit every application particularly where there's clearance issues.

This is a well made tool and reasonably priced. If you need cam-loks I recommend these.
