It's red marking chalk. Others said it's not 5lbs but my scale says it is.

Good for wall layout if you have a lot of lines to put down. Most cost effective solution for me. I don't use this for precision work like soffits, I stick with the Tajima box chalk for that. The lines are much more crisp thin and the line stretches a lot better than any other brand. If you are going to have the lines down for any period of time prior to framing using this chalk, consider getting some upside down cans of clear lacquer so you don't lose any lines. I am a foreman for a steel stud framing outfit and my company only buys black blue. The black makes a huge mess. I like red better and this stuff works great for the price.
