I bought the sz 1 for my 15.1 QH. They fit snug lengthwise, but their round shape is too wide for his narrow hooves. Still, they seem to work fine so far for what I need, which is a temporary fix to keep him comfortable whenever he pulls his shoes off (which he does frequently). I walked and trotted him around in the pasture and over gravel and they stayed on fine. He didn't have any trouble moving in them and got used to them very quickly. However they did not pass the turn-out test. He managed to pull them off during the night. (I did mention that he is a shoe-puller though, so I'm betting it's just him and no fault of the shoes.) If you have a horse that doesn't try to rip things off of their feet the minute you turn your back, these will probably be fine. I'll put them on whenever I am working with him, and then take them off for turn-out to keep them from getting lost in the pasture. He's super tender-footed, so at least these will allow me to continue exercising him even when he's barefoot. I love how easy they are to put on and take off. Time will tell how well they hold up to light use, but they appear to be well made.

My boy is stone brused from the very dry and hard pasture. Normally he is fine, barefoot and wears scoot boots for riding. However, because we had great grass, his feet grew fast, and my farrier is away, so we are going an extra two weeks for his trim. THe result is his scoot boots don't fit...he has too much toe. THey are rubbing his heel. I bought these as the least expensive option for a turn out shoe ( they are in a run in shed so thats how he lives). HE is pushing size, he is nromally a 5 3/4, with the long toe, he is a 6. I was barely able to get thes up over his heel. If they stay on, they will be wroth what they cost! Say a prayer... Farrier gets back next week!!

Easy to apply and perfect for protection over hoof bandages. Will make managing abscesses and sole bruises so much easier.

I have several of these in different sizes. They are great for abscesses, bruises, or if your horse is trimmed to short. This is not a boot for riding in. Its just a slipper type that will protect the foot or hold a bandage in place.

Had to use the boot when my horse lost a shoe - was extremely happy that the velcro was strong enough to keep it on his hoof - he didn't lose it even though he wore it for 2 days.
