Stays secure, dirt brushes off easily, and the padding is just enough to protect both me and my norse. I really like the d-rings on the front. They're well sewn in, and I can thread a neck strap (lead rope) through them for a security blanket/grab strap. I've got a 15.3 TB cross, and the girth is on the 6th and 7th holes on each side out of about 10, so there's plenty of room for a larger horse, and this could be used on a pony (not small) as well. I'm doing all of my lessons this winter bareback, and this is a lifesaver!

This is the best pad ever! I was riding bareback and it was difficult for me. So I decided a pad would be better. I was right! Feels incredible!

grips excellent, very comfortable. my horse galls easily and this has caused no problems in the girth area even with hard workouts 3-4 days a week. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it is cut a little long in what would be the cantle area of a saddle. Really like this pad!
