I was so glad to come across this neat popup outlet. The installation was simple with a drill and hole saw. I was in need of a place to plug in my phone charger where my recliner was located in the center of my living room. Drilling down was easy as I wanted it just to the right of my comfy chair. After I moved some insulation away the second hole into my neighbors apartment below breezed right through the sheetrock. I was in luck as just when I punched through I could see old Larry from 1C leaving. Even more so was the convenience of him leaving his door unlocked. I didn't want to bother him to screw on the large three inch or so nut to hold this unit steady so I popped right in while he was away. I even was neighborly to clean up my mess of sheetrock debris all the while being super considerate to use a three way plug so his TV had power. This outlet is so sleek and when not in use can be pushed down to hide it away flush to my floor. This month was awesome on my electric bill...it went down! It is so compact, the installation was easy and even fun! Larry was curious of my new electric device; he wanted one too. I told him he may have different results as he lives on the ground floor. Okay folks, I am kidding as I installed this on my desk. No, my electric bill did not go down using this device. I did get you to read my review quite inquisitively now didn't I huh? Lol.

Added these in my RV one in the bedroom area on the "dresser" and one of the kitchen island. So handy and easy to install. Great addition!

Why haven't I seen this before?! I do a lot of installs in offices and this is perfect for the conference room. It isn't spring loaded so it's pop up is relatively manual. It's designed so that you can trake off the locking ring, put it on the tabletop, trace the hole, and then drill it out. Then, just slide the power strip through and screw on by hand the locking ring from the bottom. Easy peasy.
