Genuine Garmin OEM part. I really just needed the plastic piece for the unit itself. The previous owner has lost the item found a seller that has slightly better prices than the actual Garmin site.It's a piece of plastic, shrugs. But OEM has better quality control over any aftermarket plastic.The suction cup portion/rubber will degrade as usual over sun exposure. But, i have multiple Garmin GPS units in my other vehicles that's lasted over a couple of years. If the ball suction mount does fail, that part is pretty cheap enough to buy alone.

Second GPS holder purchased for my wife's other vehicle since she liked it. This way she can transfer her Garmin from one vehicle to the other without having to remove the holder too.

OEM part. It snapped in place. Works like the original. I didn't use the suction cup. I used this in conjugation with the Garmin bean bag that sits on the dashboard. The bean bag doesn't slide around during turns. Easy to move out of the way when needed.

The suction is great. No problems. I drive on the highway a lot. City streets can be bumpy, but it stays in place. I decided to buy this because another device I tried keep releasing and dropping my gps. I'm so glad I purchased this. The price is great, it's sturdy and it holds my gps in place perfectly.
