I thought it was gonna be one of my impulsive purchase. I thought but I would solely use it for guacamole but surprisingly I use it a lot in the kitchen. It replaces my food processor and garlic press. I can just smash the garlics and boom peel off and garlic smashed . Smash some chopped tomatoes as well, no more need to buy canned tomato paste

I've already used this multiple times and can't believe with how much I cook I've never had one before. It's a perfect size and large enough to make dips, guacamole, etc. High quality and heavy! As with any mortar and pestle, don't forget to "season" it before use though!

I bought this mortar and pestle mostly to grind up things like peppercorns and other spices, but, I love avocados, and sometimes they start to get too soft if I don't use them right away. That's when you can use the mortar and pestle to mash them quickly for some delicious avocado dip. Yum! Great tool at a good price.

Well made and HEAVY. Taking off one star because the bottom is very rough, and there is no padding included. Would perhaps scratch counters.
