I recently began backwashing my filter but the backwash valve was stuck and would not budge. My only choice was to soak the valve with WD-40. The next day, the valve was operational. I took it apart and cleaned it as best I could. Once the cleaned filter was up and running, I had an oil film (WD-40) on the pool surface despite my cleaning effort. I used these scumbugs and some of the balls in hopes of removing the film. After a couple of days with washing the sponges, the film had disappeared. I also added some pool enzyme treatment. These definitely helped clear the oil film.

Recommended tio help keep my hot tub sleaner. I've had my hot tumfor about 5 months and it does keep the scum on the sides absent.

These work. Put it in the hot tub and it absorbs any dirt and prevents scum! Affordable and efficient! Will buy again! Worth the money!

I purchased these for our big blow up pool to help keep clean. It works great for soaking up lotion/oil residue on the top of water surface. Great price. Will use again next summer.

These scum buggies do exactly what they should do .. just rinse them out really well and throw them back in the spa. I use them as an early alert that I may need a shock treatment.

They do seem to attract the bugs more than any thing else. Theyre small though wish they were a bit larger.

This is a good priced item and works to pick up all of the oil or maybe not all but most of the oil out of our hot tub. Definitely would recommend!
