Mission: Fields to families was founded in 2006 in charleston, south carolina. Our organization works to empower those in the lowcountry area of south carolina who are food insecure by providing fresh produce options from local farms and gardens. Fields to families also maintains and distrbutes produce from their own garden located in moncks corner, sc. In addition our organization reaches out to the community to educate them on the benefits of healthy eating and how to incorporate fruits and vegetables into their diets regularly.

Programs: In-kind donations of approximately 68,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables were received from 27 local donors and collected from our own volunteer run garden, helping to reduce unnecessary food waste. All produce collected was distributed at no charge to recipient agencies located in the lowcountry area of south carolina helping to feed the food insecure and/or educate children and adults about the benefits of healthy eating habbits.
