Very simple and cute. Kids like it but it does get old fast.

The Kids Table series from Purple Phoenix Games seeks to lightly explore games that are focused toward children and families. We will do our best to give some good insight, but not bog your down with the millions of rules…

Koala Capers is a silly dice and pattern recognition game that kids way younger than 3 years old can play; I have played it with my 2 year old – for like 5 minutes.

The game comes in a non-conforming, but fun, box that we used as a dice tray. You roll the dice, try to find an outfit card that matches what you rolled and place the new outfit on your koala card (the one shown below is currently naked). If you roll underpants, you make your koala naked and try again. If you roll a star it's wild and you can choose any outfit you like.

This is an easy winner. It has very few components, very few rules, and has lots of silliness in it – especially when you roll the undies. Kids love when adults lose. My boy really likes it, and it has been his first choice from his small collection lately.

Give it a try if you want to introduce your children or family into dice rolling, customizing characters, light set collection, learning patterns, and also possibly having to reconstruct after rolling poorly. We like it a lot, for what it is.

We love this game, it is simple to learn and to play. My daughter loves that gets to choose the outfits each time, and quickly learned to match the patterns.

I picked this up to play with my 1.5 yr old and my little one is able to play with some assistance picking out clothing patterns. She can easily put the outfits over the koala. My 4 yr old joined us for a few rounds and likes it well enough. I like that the pieces are sturdy because my baby is still rough with things sometimes. I would say this game is more 2+ than 3+, I like how easy it is to put the pieces on the cards, the game is fast, the cards and overall game pieces are cute.

I did notice that during one of our rounds we ran out of a particular pattern, I think it was floral, so on the next turn when it a floral was rolled I let my preschooler pick a different pattern.

My son's speech therapist had this in her office and she used it to help him in therapy. We loved it so much, we got it! Great game for preschool and kindergarten aged children especially. But the whole family can join in.

Adorable and cute! My 2yo loves to play this. We started learning with only one die then moved onto to both.

Super easy to learn and play right away. This is one of the games my kids (8, 6, and 4) can play by themselves, without needing an adult to help... although I enjoy playing with them, too!

Bought it for my 18 month old. He's not quite ready to play as intended, but likes dressing the koalas. We're working on recognizing all the patterns and taking turns. We only play with the pattern die, not the clothing one.

My 4 year old really enjoys this game. It's simple enough for him to understand but not so simple that he's easily bored with it. We have also purchased as a gift and it was well received.

The koalas are very cute and the game well made BUT we got the same pattern dices instead of one patternand and the other outfit dice! That means the game now is very simple and borring. Will try to contact the seller and update if I have luck

I love it but I'm still waiting for my kids to get the gist of the game. It's easy to play and good to teach shapes and patterns. The illustrations are so cute too!
