It fit my DC07 low reach perfectly, as another reviewer wrote the color doesn't match but really it is a vacuum cleaner.I am glad I bought the belt tool, would have been a struggle without it. The toughest part of job for me was the knob for bare floor/carpet did not want to slide into place. I even put the original, broken, head back in place to see how the knob goes in. After seeing that the job finished up smooth as silk.

good part but the design of the assembly of the vacuum makes it a bit challenging to replace.

Getting the busted up old head cover off was terrible as it was in 20 pieces after a tumble down the stairs. That took an hour where a half hour would do it with an unbroken unit. The new cover went in with little pain although since I started with a jumble of busted parts it was not perfectly clear how everything went together. YouTube was my friend as I could see how it all started off and could understand part orientations for assembly. Hopefully I never have to buy another, but if needed I would. Vacuum works like new.

It was kind of tough to get this installed... I mean you literally have to tear the machine all the way down just about to the motor but once you figure it out it's worth every penny times 10. I just saved myself a $600 vacuum for 40 bucks. Do you want to go to a hardware store and buy one of those little boxes with 20 unusual screwdriver tips because there's a special star screw in there and you'll need a thin extension to get down to it.
