Solution: The Catching Racquet helps beginners focus on their volley and serve. Have players use for serving motion practice! Toss like a real serve, extend, and catch the ball in the strings. It takes the mind of the server off the ball and whether it is going over the net and helps them develop a smoother service motion. For a little extra challenge and to improve tossing accuracy, have the server practice with their eyes closed! Use with young juniors to pick up balls. The parents will love you when they stop stretching out their T-shirts!

This racket is not going to turn your kid into Coco Gauff. But other parents will look at you funny if your kid doesn't have a racket (even though you suspect that having or not having one will make literally no difference in how many balls they hit over the net), and this one holds up well to being thrown on the ground in frustration. The bright color also helps to quickly identify it when it is thrown across the yard or into the woods in frustration, or when your kid attempts to lose it by leaving it at the park. My girl has many amazing talents, but tennis isn't one of them. If you happen to shop at my neighborhood thrift store, you might be able to pick this racket up for a steal because that appears to be where it's destined to end up as soon as this session of tennis lessons winds down.

This is a good first racket for a child. I put a gamma grip and a shock absorber on it and it feels like it's ready for game time. Good product
