The horse is beautiful. I won’t complain about that. It’s advertised as a traditional (1:9) model, but it is really small. My daughter ordered this with great expectations, but was disappointed in the horse’s size. It’s slightly shorter than a few of her classic (1:12) models. She still loves the horse, but she wishes it was bigger.

The matte black paint job on this model is very dull and boring. Breyer should have added a bit of color and shading to really made it stand out.

I have collected Breyer model horses for many years and now my children collect them as well. I ordered this one as a gift for Christmas for my daughter. She absolutely loves it! Beautiful model, very happy with my purchase.

I love this model!!!! She is wonderfully sculpted, and just beautiful!!!! She stands nicely, and is just perfect!!! She is all black, with grey hooves. One eye is covered with hair, which cascades down her neck nicely!! Her mane and tail are very big and fluffy- along with her feathers!! She, by far, is one of my favorite models!! This is definitely a highly recommended, five star product!!!!! 60;3

Not at all the quality I expect from Breyer. The sculpting and paint job are very fake. This horse is one of only two my daughter wanted so badly for Christmas so I will keep it. Otherwise I would have sent it back. I miss the days you could count on Breyers 100 for lifelike accuracy...
