This kit is a very well thought out kit. Of good quality. I was able to use this kit to extract a broken glow plug out of my LML Duramax, without damaging any of the threads. I did have to modify the drill bit holder, for my application the casting of the head was going to contact the drill bit holder.

This tool is worthless the first case I bought the attachment that hooks the glow plug was striped out order a replacement and again not as bad but the Sam attachment was also stripped rent today tap and die set to fix it just so I can get the job done, however the drillbits that you use to drill out to make room for the thread cutter broke off I used the drillbit out of the other case, and it did the same thing I have a drillbit stuck in my engine with part of a glow plug. Now I have to go ahead and remove the head, hoping I can still get it out

It does work great but I did it with engine out of vehicle. Probably not good for doing while engines in vehicle. I did get it out and a new plug in.

Kit ended up working once the head was removed from my ecodiesel. Took hours of drilling, tapping, and hammering but got the plug out in several pieces. Electrode drill bit broke and that was the only reason for a 4 star review. Was very pleased that this worked to extract my plug. Saved me several hundred dollars and an engine. I don't think I would've been able to use this with the head on due to inaccessibility.
