Domino quality was excellent - dominoes are sturdy, thick, tiles, no blemishes. The box complaint is minor -- the box gets better with time -- when you see an old box that is ratty and held together with some 3M box tape... it just tells you that you are sitting down with some real players! THE CAUTION: Make sure that the set you receive contains an accurate count of the PROPER 28 dominoes. The set I received contained two copies of the 5-4 tile. The set was sealed -- can guess that during manufacturing, the 6-4 tile was noticed as cracked, but errantly replaced with a 5-4 tile. (Can see in photo. I marked the tile - so that it does not go back out, and possibly get someone hurt.)

My mom likes dominos, but the regular sized ones were a bit more challenging for her to hold/read. These dominos are great. To the point where she is playing every day, sometimes even twice a day....we laugh and say we should start a domino tournament in her complex and she would be the best since she is playing so much now! Grateful to have them! They are not giant or even really big, but they are bigger than the regular ones she had so it really has made a difference!

This is the second time I've bought this set of dominoes, and the good news is the dominoes themselves are still good. They're large, easy to stand on the table, and a nice off-white. In fact, compared to the previous set, the ivory" color is better, with less of that pinkish hue.The downside is that they've changed the packaging to a cheaper cardboard box-- the kind you would get a board game in-- rather than the snap-shut vinyl case they show in the pictures. There was a sticker on the outside that side "new and improved packaging, same great dominoes", which kind of made it worse, because this new packaging is clearly inferior the old one.The other bummer was that the dominoes were pretty dirty, with black marks from the manufacturing on them. Fortunately I was able to clean them off after a lot of scrubbing and scraping.I still would recommend this set of dominoes if you're looking for all-black pips and an off-white color. But I'm considerably less pleased than I was when I ordered the same set a couple years ago."

When these arrived there was a sticker on the cellophane wrapper saying New and Improved Packaging" . I don't consider a cardboard box an improvement on the advertised/pictured snap vinyl case. That's an unacceptable bait and switch. Returning this item now."

This item is incorrectly advertised. The dominoes came in a box. There is no vinyl case. Essentially $20 for a set of dominoes and a cardboard box to store them in. I've plenty of boxes. They're being returned.
