Well it's taken us a year to finally open the box and put this on and when we did, all the hardware bags were ripped open, and it's missing parts.

The metal brackets that attach to the spa or not strong enough to hold my very good and big cover. Apparently my cover is more awesome than most covers because this cover twists and bends the post inserted into the brakets, that are meant to hold it up. See the picture. In short I am not happy with this at all. I've already spent half my day disassembling the other side and now I'm going to have to do this side too. Fack!

I had this lift installed in 1 hour and probably sooner if I didn't drop screws and had a better understanding of the instructions. Very well made with thick gauge steel brackets and tubes. I was hesitant to even get one of these lifts after seeing other people's similar lifts made from cheap tubing and plastic material which do not last. Also there are tot a lot of extra mounting points needed like others that had straps needed to stop the cover from flipping over. It is just 2 mount points at the base with 3/4" x 3ish" studs that stops the bar where it needs to. Minor gripes: Give a couple extra self tapper screws. There are exactly the right amount so do not lose any! Better small screw caps or a tube of adhesive. They pop off as soon as you lift the cover. I dabbed some silicon rubber glue in the cap and put them on, works for now but eventually they will pop off. Better picture needed to show right and left bracket positioning. But all you really need to know is the curve part of the bracket goes to the back of your tub at the bottom. The stopper shaft goes to the bottom front on the bracket. The pivot bolt is top / back on the bracket. Otherwise, it is a very simple strong design, easy to install and easy to lift.
