The Cam Walker / Fracture Boot were redesigned to offer a lighter weight more streamlined and more comfortable walking cast. The Velcro adjustments, skid resistant sole and completely open-able liner allow for easy application and adjustment . This item provides comfortable stability for acute ankle sprains, stable fractures of the ankle and soft tissue and stress fractures to the lower leg. A walking cast provides rest for the heel, reduces pressure on the heel at heel strike, provides arch support, and prevents tightening of the Achilles tendon. The patient typically wears the cast for a period of 3-4 weeks. Got this boot for a stress fracture presenting pain in the ball of my foot. It does the job of taking the pressure off that area and preventing me from flexing my toes as I walk, which is fantastic. The air pump works well and adds extra support.Two issues: the heel wears easily and even brand new slips sometimes if you take too big a stride. So your foot slides forward. Second, the adhesive on the back part of the boot isn't very strong, you can see in the photo that the plastic and foam are slowly pulling apart.But overall satisfied.

I am a size 7 narrow foot. This boot fit very snug, and that is what you want in a boot for sprains. I know this from my experience with multiple ankle sprains. After my surgury to repair torn ligaments, my Dr suggested that anytime I get an ankle sprain to wear this type of boot, to allow the affected foot time to rest. So this boot has gotten some use.It is comfortable and snug and supports my ankles well when I am using it.

I only had it for a day cause my dr had ordered me one through my insurance and i wasnt aware until i purchased this one. The one I got through insurance is just like this one here and it's a great boot that isnt huge or bulky and im very comfortable in it. Its also healing my ankle quite fast as well.

Quality boot, especially for the money. Velcro straps are very firm and so should last quite awhile. Inside the boot is very sturdy and comfortable to wear. The only comments I have are ... 1.) I have to use a small cloth above my big toe to prevent the top strap from rubbing a blister there; and ... 2.) the boot comes with two pads, one I use as a heel support - something that is important when wearing this type of foot support.

I had one years ago but lost it. I blew out my Achilles tendon in 2003. I've had 3 surgeries on it. Last one was to correct the twisting of my foot. The had to put screws and pins in my foot to hold the bones and tendons they moved. As I've gotten older the tendons they moved have begun to get weak and my foot is beginning to twist again. This boit helps to keep my foot from twisting and helps to alleviate the pain. Works great
