Easy install and fits my 2022 Tacoma easily. What they don't tell you is that the latch kit doesn't fit the tailgate latch. You will need to by a separate part 74603-01a which cannot be found anywhere.

Well made and the installation process was painless. Only criticism is that the instructions for template placement (to drill holes for bracket) could use more details. Considering you really have only one shot at doing this right, more care could be given to the directions. Anyhow, my little diy project on my 2002 Tundra came out nice and I am a satisfied customer. Two thumbs up. BTW, the bracket that is recommended for a pre 2005 Toyota truck installations is not needed for the Tundra...had to send that back.

Installation was very simple. Some smaller parts are already assembled so that made things even faster (though maybe initially a little confusing since it may seem some parts are missing). I'd recommend watching some installation videos on Youtube. I'm very happy with this product. Note that the product title says that 74601-01A is required for installation, but for my 2015 Tacoma, it is NOT required. This product comes with the required mounting hardware that you screw directly into the bed.

Bought this for my sons 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4X4, I saw some guy on the web install it on his truck but different year, its not listed as fitting my sons truck, but I did not want the recommended one shaped like a Vee. I think they are concerned with it hitting the wheel wells or something. Any ways If you want max space usage this works great! already used it for lumber and trip to the Dump! We had to adjust the clamps on his truck bed cover but not a big issue. They recommend these L brackets (AMP Research 74601-01A BedXTender HD Bracket Kit,Black$30.00) and lever quick release clips(AMP Research 74605-01A Quick Latch Bracket Kit for 1984-2021 All Models , Black $35.40) to mount it, but I didn't need to use the L brackets. I did install the Quick release lever brackets, but you probably don't need them either. I wasted money on those recommended items because this was my first attempt at installing one of these things and I didn't want to be left hanging because of needing some extra piece.Dont get those extras and save yourself 65 bones! But as you can see it fits perfectly!

Install was helped by watching the videos on youtube, did not swear once. Perfect fit in my 2022 Tacoma short bed. Solid and dependable.

As other reviews say, this fits the 3rd gen Tacoma perfectly. It was easy to install on my 2021 SR5 short bed. I followed advice in other comments to assemble it first and then mark where to mount the brackets. Thankfully I double checked though, because otherwise the tailgate would not have closed with it flipped in - be sure to not mount it as far back as you could. It also fits with room to spare under a tonneau cover, I have a truxedo sentry.
