This is easy to use and put away, and is comfortable enough for sitting for not-too-long. Sturdy and seems durable.

Set a base camp at the music festval then carried the stool around to the different stages. Worked out great. Strap needs to be a little longer so you can put over your head and one shoulder. That would make it easier to carry.

Lightweight, easy to carry with sling with or without bag. A handy seat anywhere. Stools like this used to be one of my most common medical prescriptions for folks with arthritic knees. Never thought I'd need one myself, but now 9 years post stroke, it's a ticket to the long walks I need to maintain my health. Even without these limitations, it's nice to have a comfortable seat anywhere, well above the tick-infested leaf litter. This is lightweight to carry, quick to set up, sturdy stable in use.

Compact, seems strong and functional. Some quality control stuff with stiching on the bag and the securing straps. Hope they fix this. Otherwise great product.

I bought the ALPS Mountaineering stool for shooting sports pictures. I work as a librarian at a high school in California. In my previous life, I worked as a photojournalist. Back in my younger years, I stalked the sidelines without a need to sit. But now in my 60s, I appreciate a place to camp out and rest my knees. This particular strategy works perfectly for basketball. I park myself under the basket -- out of the way of the referees of course. I get great shots and don't necessarily want to leave after the half. Actually, I often shoot four games in a night with junior varsity factored in. The ALPS product takes a beating and straps to my camera bag. I haul it everywhere.

I bought this chair to go on vacation after having 2 knee surgery. I need a chair to sit for a few minutes when I get to tire and the knee pain demand I stop. I use it in the bus stop, to fish, even talking to new friends I meet on the way, nothing can stop me now. Is being days that the pain was so much I open my little chair in the shower and let the hot water run to relive the pain and inflammation, when finish I close and let air dry and is ready to go again. Is not to tall but is the perfect size to put in my laugage or to carry in my shoulder or back pack.

Boy, is this thing comfortable or what. The design of the seat contours your butt. It's only a pound heavier than some well known brand names but fraction of a cost, it's a no brainer

Needed something to sit on while standing in long lines. A disability prevents me from carrying almost anything. This is sturdy, small, lightweight. Perfect!

Ideal for carrying on a hike and when you need a quick break. Also used for bird photography - sitting still and waiting for the perfect shot can be tiring - this works great for those situations
