These rods work great for fishing wire through walls for the most part. I used it with 12-2 and 10-2 wiring. I love the snare attachment, it works great as long as you loop it around the wire a few times, otherwise it has a tendency to slip off.My only criticism is that a few of the threaded male AND female connector tips came unglued when I had to pull with force. A few male ends broke off when I applied to much tension at an angle. But once I knew what they could and couldn't take I haven't really had many issues with them. I'm on my second whole-home rewiring job now and still use the set.

This set is perfect for most pass through jobs. The sections are sturdy and the fishing attachments are diverse. The magnetized hook is small, I superglued a larger neodymium magnet to it just in case. It's light weight and small diameter sections are great in tight spaces, especially if you're passing through insulation. Great so far

We had to run new CAT5 cable through the attic and down a wall, and this did the job perfectly. Glad to have one of these around for future projects.

I bought this kit and separately a fish tape to feed a dozen wires and cables through the wall for a newTV wall entertainment center installation. The fish tape got hung up and stuck. These rods bent and worked very well to get the job done. Very satisfied with this kit!
