I’m honestly torn between 4 and 5 stars-SUPER happy this existsthe fill valve in my toilet went out and I was going to have to take it all apart and try to replace the valve or buy a new toilet for $300. A guy on YouTube actually recommended that I just buy the baseso here I am! It fit my thetford toilet almost perfectly, which is my one qualm. I had to rub the little hooks for the bowl down with coconut oil and try to warm them up and stretch them out in order to lock the toilet in they’re made just the tiniest bit too short. Laying on the toilet and manhandling it was how I actually got it locked back into place (with the toilet base screwed into the floor). I then took the toilet back off of the floor screws and put the bolts back in, then put the toilet back again ha! All in all it would have been just a few minutes, but those hooks being off def got in the way of that. It’s easy to put together (the seal over the ball valve does pop up but the weight of the toilet pushed it back down fine). If you aren’t sure, just look at your old toilet for some tips!

same style ii issue with the spring. only issue when replacing was the two bolts from base to bowl didn’t line up. fortunately it takes a good amount of force to twist off so just left them off. easy install, and great improvement. for the price, replacing every two years isn’t a bad idea.

The description needs to state which models this base will fit. It would not fit the bowl from my model 42058 Aqua-Magic II toilet. The flush ball was obviously misaligned with the opening in the bowl, and the bolt holes in the back did not line up. Until they clarify the information in the listing, I would advise you to buy this only if your toilet model number matches this product's model number exactly.

This is the exact replacement for my Thetford RV toilet base. It is fairly easily installed, although the instructions are sort of cryptic - they are trying to do too much on a small document. I had to remove and replace mine a 2nd time because I installed a gasket upside down! The quality of the hardware included was good, again identical to the original.
