I Lied, this gets zero stars!!! The aluminum flame guard at the base of the cheap thermo plastic handle is maybe several times thicker than an aluminum can and collapses as soon as you start to tighten it. Only MAO would have been satisfied (getting the U.S. dollars).

Aluminum piece attached at base is worthless. Other than that this handle replaced the one on a pan that was my Moms. It is over fifty years old and still in fantastic shape. It meets my needs.

This product lives up to its word ,unfortunately is was not the correct item for my pan ,I needed a larger handle because of the size of the pan .

Not nearly as sturdy as the one it replaced but we managed to get it attached so it works. How long it lasts remains to be seen but for now, it serves it's purpose and is well worth the price. I would recommend it.
