The mount is solid and does not slide on the rail at all, but every two or three times I raise and lower the antenna mounted to it, the bolt on the inside comes loose and I am unable to tighten the mount to hold the antenna in any position. At that point, I have to take the mount off the railing, reattach the bolt and nut, and then reattach it to the railing
