S&S Worldwide Arbiter Pealess Whistle and Lanyard, Price/Set of 12

We used them for Lifeguard Training. All participants got one with their other supplies (pocket mask and hip pack). The color variety was nice and each Lifeguard candidate was able to choose a color they liked. These met the need very well, and the breakaway lanyard works great. It's important for Lifeguards to have whistles on breakaway lanyards so that the lanyard does not strangle the Lifeguard during rescues. Over the course of two weekends, the whistles were retrieved from the bottom of the pool several times, and when retrieved, the clasp closed securely each time. These can be blown very loudly, which is important for lifeguarding, but can also be "tweeted" for nearby rule infractions. Does take a little bit if practice to get good sound with various volumes, but this is the case with any similar whistle. Finally, I prefer pealess whistles as a Lifeguard because they are less likely to get "funky" with constant exposure to water. These fit the bill quite nicely. I will be buying these again for my next set of Lifeguard classes.
