rope is not made for climbing like they said. After about 50 feet repeling the rope gets very streachey and also starts to turn and knot its self, after about 75 feet is the outer rope and inner rope decide to separate and bunch up. I would not use this for anything other then gear and not for your life.

This rope is perfect for climbing except that I would recommend buying at least 64 ft because this just seems too short for most climbing applications.

Unfortunately, I believe that this product is genuinely produced quite well when purchasing any type of gear, especially for climbing purposes, know the weight of the rope and how much weight it can support as well as being colorful to see and easy to grasp the thread work is a question. I never got a chance to try the product stolen almost immediately

I needed 1 bare end, so I cut one of the ends off and removed the heatshrink to see how it was put together. I used a hot knife to cut the end off which left a very nice clean sealed end with no splits! At this price, I thought the ends might just be wrapped under the heatshrink, but I was happy to see that it's actually sewn together as stated, so it can be used for anchor line without fear of the end popping open!!! Sold as 1/3 inch rope.... that's 0.333 inch or 8.46mm. Where the fibers have stiffened from heat sealing the cut end, I get a diameter reading of about 0.350 inches or just over 1/3 inch. but anywhere else along the rope, I read about 0.310 inches or almost exactly 8mm, which is a little under 1/3 inch, and if I stretch the rope, the diameter drops to about 0.295 inches /- 0.005 inch. I also have some similarly wrapped light duty 3/8 inch (0.325 inch 230lb WLL) diameter rope, and while the 3/8" rope 'should' be slightly smaller, it's actually slightly larger than this rope. I used this to safely pull down a 14ft x 12ft x 10ft triangle of galvanized metal roofing that was lifted up and folded over by Hurricane Milton. There are no wear marks on the rope where it rubbed the rough edge of the good roofing. On the cut-off piece shown in the first included photo, I raked one side of the rope against a pair of sharp scissors about 3 dozen times, and just barely started to see some minimal fraying starting as seen on the second photo. This is a much better result than I've seen from some other similar ropes, including the 3/8" rope which had a failure of the outer wrap after 6 times being dragged across the same scissors. Seems strong enough for any application I would put it through, but wish I had a way to test the actual break strength, just to see how accurate the info is!

Just used mine the other day to lower my 30rth or so compressor down an aluminum roof. These things are usually about 100-200lbs each. I always wear gloves but on the rare occasion I havnt, I didn't have much trouble bare handing it either, not really slippery material, maybe when wet it could be an issue. Only real negative is, the rope is awfully thin, and for the guys with real big mitts, this may be an uncomfortable rope to be pulling toolbags up 50 feet or lowering even heavier stuff up and down, especially if it's wet as mentioned above. Durability wise it's still in good shape and no frays, i mentioned the aluminum roof part since most ropes tend to get cut up on the edges, the built in carabiner locks are great and let me do a lot more with it with less hassle.
