This set builds some awesome bridges. I got it for my 4-year-old's Christmas gift, because he's into bridges and building things. He has already built a bridge all on his own. It might be a little tough for some younger kids (the box says 8+), but if you have a kid who likes putting things together and tinkering, this set is fantastic. I have a ton of fun doing it with my son; we're already looking at getting the "big bridge" set from K'nex as well.

This is a great building set for girls or boys. My 9 year old daughter is able to assemble with minimum help. I like that you can build several different bridges with it. Quite enjoyable toy

Great for building bridges as well as independent, creative projects. I bought this for a nephew who voiced his desire for something other than LEGOS --- 7 yr old needed help with some of the connections. I find the first use of every piece loosens up the pieces for future projects. My nephew made several snowflakes between bridge projects...great for girls and guys -- 10 yr old girls used the kit for a state project to build a bridge found in the assigned state.

While the concept is good, the plastic is of low quality and the pieces break very easily. My son broke two pieces on the first go and I thought it was his handling but as I was stripping a few pieces I broke one too. Not good quality. It would be a struggle to use pieces over and over again
