This is a good product. We bought it to play old tapes that were made of our kids when they were very little, 30 plus years ago! This plays all the tapes very well. Decent sound quality!

I am an Author. When I have thoughts about my story I record and then put them in my manuscript. Great way to tell the story. Great quality and easy to use. I love it. Wish I had done this years ago.

I bought this recorder when the Jensen one I had recently purchased rendered itself unusable. The Hamilton Buhl is far superior to the Jensen; I use it frequently! Thank you!

Needed a recorder that would take an external mic. This is the only one that I could find. Great value and works fine. Looks like , and operates like my 50 year old Radio Shack recorder which just bit the dust. Only one problem - there was no instruction as to how to use the USB part of the recorder. Guess I'll figure it out one day.

I bought this cassette recorder to replace one that went bad.The recorder works as advertised. It records and plays back. There is a background noise that seems to be coming from the motor and picked up by the amplifier. But you will experience this with all cassette recorders. There are reviews on all cassette recorders referring to this noise. When these cassette recorders first to came out years ago, people didn't mind the noise because there were no quieter/digital recorders to compare these with. Therefore the noise is normal for these. The only problem I have with this recorder is the fact that the push levers, record, play, etc. are very hard to push down. They do go down and stay but with a force that makes me fear I will brake them off. I wish this could be rectified. Note: If the seller can send me one with better push levers, I will exchange.

I was thrilled to find such a nice cassette player. I am listening to old cassettes that my dad made about WWII along with some of his other comrades. We are trying to get a booklet printed for the family, and so I listen to the tape, and type .
