The Grado x Series headphones represent a significant step forward in sonic reproduction. Only the fourth generation of drivers since being introduced in 1991, all components of the x Series have been upgraded to further optimize the performance of Grado headphones. With the x series drivers Grado has increased the magnetic power of the speakers while reducing the mass of each voice coil.Along with the reconfigured diaphragm, this redesigned speaker produces an unparalleled, high-fidelity listening experience.
What goes into a set of Grado SR80x headphones? Old school handmade artisanship that can only be acquired from 70+ years of mastering one's craft, drivers that are matched to within 0.1 dB of each other, and a tradition that each headphone has that award-winning Grado sound. All Prestige headphones have newly designed super annealed copper cables for improved purity of the audio signal and are now housed in a more durable, flexible exterior. A thick leather headband provides a comfier listening experience compared to other headphones.
The SR80x has upgraded de-stressed driver, when compared to the SR60x, and a new more durable housing that is less affected by transient distortion by the way it directs air and reacts to sound vibrations. A durable 4-conductor cable improves control and stability of the upper and lower range of the frequency spectrum with both better supporting Grado's world renowned midrange.
SR80x headphones produce a sound that is pure Grado with warm harmonic color, rich full-bodied vocals, excellent dynamics, and an ultra-smooth top end. Listen and enjoy! Handmade in Brooklyn, New York, USA. Replaceable ear pads. 1-year warranty.
