I've been a communications technician for over 20 years and the time I'm saving and reduction of painful finger stabs, has made me truly appreciate the value of this tool. As communication cable has advanced over the years, the twisted pairs are getting tighter and tighter. I used the tool today untwisting multi cables and I was not jabbed once. This tool is well made and has worked flawlessly for the 1 and a half years I have owned it. It is well worth the price in my opinion.

This works well once you get the technique down. It took a few tries to figure out that you have to let it work and not let it turn too long. It's just a second or two, then straighten out the kinks with the head of the tool. It will save having sore thumbs when doing a large number of cables.

This tool makes unwinding cat cable easy and saves your fingers. Works very well on cat 5, some cat 6 gets hung up in the wheel

This is a brilliant device. It will untwist and straighten your Cat 6 cables.

I use it every time to save time. Bulk terminations are a breeze with this tool. I teach my crew how to use it once and by the 2nd line they have a perfect looking RJ45. I taught my 10 year old how to untwist and straighten using this tool.

After you bulk cut your CatX ...Make sure to clean cut your wires...Makes for a good untwist

I was seriously thinking about this one, so priceyBut hasn't let me down, it does back and forward, greate battery life, so easy-to-use and the multifunction of the tool tip , allows you to strengthen the wires in a second, so helpful.That's awesome, totally recommended this tool.

I like the simplicity of the tool. When I make a CAT5 cable, its nice to be able to unwrap the twist in the conductors. I have boney fingers. Unwrapping the twist tends to hurt my fingers. With the unwrapper, its fast with no pain to my fingers. Good tool!

I thought it was a little expensive not sure if is worth the money but works well as long as you keep even pressure on the wire

Works as they said it would. If you have several of these to do it will save your fingers. Love it.....

Absolute must have tool if doing multiple terminations a day, saves your fingers from arthritis and general pain

After using this on over 100 jacks, I'll say it works pretty good and saved a lot of wear and tear on my hands.It does have some limitations though. It doesn't work very well at all on Cat6/Cat6a cable that has thicker insulation on the pairs (Vertical Cable Cat6 Plenum is a good example). It did a great job on other Cat6 cables from ICC, ABA, Digilink Global, Belden, Commscope.If the holes were bigger on the head it would probably work good on other cables as well. All in all it has saved time and my hands during termination and would recommend to others.

I started using this product when I started out doing AV. I've stripped cable before with different tools to help with straightening and typically I used my own hands.It took some time to getting used to since it's a new method but after that, it's smooth sailing!It helps out a bunch with the wire management prior to putting the cables into the RJ45 heads. Straightening also has never been efficiently quick and easier!

A must have for a cable installer. I just did 700 drops at a new hospital construction., This this is amazing.

I've seen some people dismiss this tool immediately, but you have to practice and get to know how to use it. At first I was very frustrated and ready to throw it at the wall, instead I contacted Tech Tools asking for assistance. Brent contacted me the next day with a message, tips and video. After spending some time with many samples of cable from my stock, I'm getting better at untwisting. I expect more OTJ work will get better and better with untwisting and saving me time (making me money) I was impressed with the response from Tech Tool Supply so much, I placed an order for niche tools on their website. Brent comes from a cabling background and understands low voltage. I'll send an update after using the tool a few hundred times.After using the tool with several hundred cables, I find it indispensable. Not every pair will untwist to the base like the videos, but most will and those that don't are still untwisted enough that you just need to manually untwist one or two turns. Overall a time saver!

This tool makes terminating CAT 6 so much easier in tight spaces! Also, the leds on the driver help out a lot as many of my terminations are in darker areas like behind a cabinet or under a cubicle. Product was received next day and I was pleased to put it to use immediately.

After spending some time with it, I really like this tool.It is not as simple as their video makes it out to be.It took me doing about 30 wires until I figured it out.Once I had it, I fell in love with this tool.It makes a once tedious task quick and more importantly painless.
