I replaced the old one fairly easy with soldering gun. Adjusted my pedal afterwards to how much open and closed I prefer and dialed it right it! Great tone love I replaced one from a late 80s or early 90s I have had since

Dropped this easily, right into my Dunlop 535 Chrome Crybaby with no modifications necessary. While I wasn't able to A/B against the old broken pot, this new one works as expected. Clean sound and no problem installing with the exact same wiring and a perfect fit. All I needed was a philips screwdriver, a slim 1/2 inch wrench and a soldering iron.

The pot is simple and works. No need to buy the high dollar alternatives. My only concern is the gear needs to be longer or adjustable on the pot shaft as it only contacts about half of the wah rack. It is held with a roll pin and you cannot move it. It works fine though and fits as well as original. The quality seems good also.

I like the taper it's more like the old Hot Potz1. I didn't like the Hot Potz 2 that was in my Crybaby so I dropped this in. I had to remove the large star washer on the rack guide and replace it with a smaller split washer to be able to adjust the gear mesh. The gear is slightly larger than the one on my Hot Potz 2. It's no big deal to install, I'm not sure what the negative reviews where about. Not sure how long it will last but at least it's not $30....
