Product Description
Tests for ammonia levels in water. Fish continually release ammonia through their gills, urine and solid waste. Uneaten food and decaying organic matter also add ammonia to the water. Even small amounts of ammonia stress fish, and large amounts will cause fish loss. Use this kit to easily and accurately measure the ammonia level in your water so that you can take the necessary steps to remove ammonia and keep your fish healthy.

It was a great product. The instruction is simple and easy to follow. The bottles came with children lock, which is great because I have toddlers at home. The measuring tube is plastic and I love it because I don't need to worry breaking it. It's 10/10 for me.

Nothing wrong with the test. My problem is with the plastic tubes! Please Bring the glass tubes back! The plastic tube is not as clear as a glass tube, it is harder to clean and it gets more unclear after each use and eventually it gets frosty! Glass tubes were perfectly fine in my opinion. Again the test itself is good

I don’t recommend this kit for freshwater planted aquariums if you need accurate results below 1ppm. As you can see in the pic the color values below 1ppm are all so similar that it could be 0ppm if you hold the tube one way, or 0.5ppm if you hold it another way. For freshwater planted aquariums often times you are trying to diagnose an algae problem where phosphate levels of 0.5ppm vs 0ppm is a major difference. In that respect this test is useless. I’ll give API 3 stars for ease of use because their instructions are clear unlike Salifert, but in terms of accuracy I don’t recommend them.
