I love this paddle. I have question to more experienced people here. How should I care for this paddle after I remove plastic cover from both side for the 1st time. It feels sticky . And it catches dust do I need to wipe it with anything ? I just opened the package.

I LOVE my racket. That said, it took approximately TWO MONTHS to reach me, so if you want your new racket tomorrow I wouldn't buy this.

Greetings,Im writing you with heavy heart. Recently, I was married and, in my recent nuptials, inherited a ten year old boy. This boy is quite the odd fellow. He isnt much for sports or academics. In an effort to get him out of the house more often (so newlyweds can practice what the Lord above intended) so I bought him one of your paddles: the DHS Hurricane. Eager as a high-schooler on prom night, the moment the package arrived, I shoved him out the door (box in hand) and pointed him toward the direction of the local community center. As were rounding second base, we are interrupted by the slobbery sobbing of the ten year old. Apparently, he arrived to the community center eager to test out the new hardware only to be thwarted by the overwhelming smell of what I can only describe as a 5 gallon drum of rotten fish. Immediately (and frustratingly), I threw the paddle into the backyard and washed the childs hands with industrial dish soap. After three thorough washings and some skin loss, he is just now starting to not smell like a fish market. As for the paddle, I have hosed it off, soaked it in bleach, and hung it on our laundering line.Surely, we cannot be the first to comment on the overwhelming stench of this product. Is fish sauce an ancient secret to paddle rubber adhesion? Does it grant some sort of secret looping ability? Does the smell alone distract opponents in such a way to guarantee defeat? Please help me understand,An eager stepfather(PS - now this is for real: the paddle is really great. And it really does smell really bad and the sellers could not offer any solace. But I enjoy the game very much with this paddle...my opponents just don't like to shake my hand after our games.)

This racket is worth every bit of the added cost over cheaper ones because it 'gives you wings'. Excellent spin and bounce over a larger sweet spot. Wish I could get a little firmer rubber on the red sky III. I'll dub it The Annihilator.

My kid loves it very much. She plays it everyday. I thought it would be heavy for her when I placed the order. But it is okay. She is 8 years old.

This is a great paddle. It took very little time to adjust to. I like the small penfold handle it allows me to spin paddle with ease. But most of my friends say it to short for them ( mostly men). I like the heavier wieght, it makes me feel more powerful when I am hitting that hard fast shot. And it deffently has improved my spin 100%. I would recommend for the player who is serious about improving their game.

It is just what I need! The racquet is authentic, light, sticky, and fast. I would recommend players of intermediate level use this racquet.

The spin generated from this racket is insane. When I first got the racket, it was not as easy yo adjust to as I thought. But wow after 3-4 days of playing hard, the racket has improved my game play significantly. I can now effortlessly adapt to any type of spin. Would definitely buy again.

I'll just say that I played with this paddle for the first time against a co-worker who I'm relatively on the same playing level as, and smashed him the first two times with it. The 3rd game we switched paddles, and he beat me pretty handidly. Needless to say, this thing makes a world of difference in upping your performance. Definitely recommended for advanced/intermediate players. The control and grip is a huge upgrade over the standard rubber paddles. It also comes at a reasonable price for what you're getting.I couldn't be more happy with it, and can't wait to play with it some more!

Agreed, the handle would be too short for shake-hand grip. Also, make sure to generously sand down the edges, or you will hurt your pointer finger (mine was going completely numb even after I sanded it only a little). But now that it's dialed in for my hand shape, I am getting great control of the ball.

I've been playing table tennis for a couple months, and was getting tired of using the cheap paddle I bought from Sports Authority. So I wanted to step up my game a bit, and take it a little more seriously. I decided on this, and don't regret it. Awesome paddle. When I opened it up, I was impressed. Nice package, nice case, nice TT balls, and of course, great paddle. The paddle looks beautiful. After taking off the thin plastic cover on the rubber, it felt very tacky. So I figured, this is a MILLION times better than the old paddle I was using. When I finally played, it took a little while getting used to it. I was so used to using paddles with a shakehand handle and this was my first time holding a dedicated penhold paddle. Before buying this paddle, I thought about the fact that I may not like penhold as I progress and might want to go back to shakehand, and figured you would still be able to hold this paddle with a shakehand grip.. wrong. It would feel too short, so if you want to be penhold, you should be sure of it. Once you're used to it, playing is fluid. The rubber puts a lot of spin on the ball. It may be the rubber or maybe the paddle, but when you hit the ball hard, it sounds like you cracked the ball. I thought that was interesting. After a little over a month of using it, the rubber has significantly lost some of it's tackiness, even thought I always clean it after playing. Summary: Buy it, improve, win.

I am a recreational player, have been playing for several months now with a lot of passion. I wanted to upgrade from Carlos Chiu racket. First bought Butterfly custom made racket (carbon based paddle with cermet & shriver rubber, extremely offensive) and realized that was an overkill, since I couldn't handle high sped & spin/low control properties of the paddle. Touch defense was almost always going over the table and I couldn't feel my backhand at all due to the racket being light-weight. So, this one was definitely for very advanced player,[...] Well, I took a gamble and ordered this particular racket from DHS. All I can say is this racket is outstanding! Hurricane rubber on one side is super offensive and G555 rubber on the other side is slightly less so, but with such viscosity that makes incredible spins with little effort. Also, paddle itself has a lot more control, I am able to return killer spins from my opponent without seeming effort and touch game is nice. It is not very heavy but enough to have a feel. I highly recommend this racket for players that are offensively inclined but need to retain control and considerable defensive capabilities.
