While in the field (or just in the driveway), sometimes there is nowhere to plug in a soldering iron. This butane-powered iron solves that problem. No more running around trying to find an outlet and an extension cord. It gets hot enough to do the job.

I've had a few different butane torch style soldering irons over the years. I was hesitant to buy this one as it has a fairly high price, but I'm so glad I did. It works perfectly. I believe this will be the last one I ever need to buy. You can tell it is of a high quality just holding it in your hand. When it lights up on the first try and doesn't go out on it's own like most of the others, you know you bought the right one. I would have actually saved money if I started out with this one in the beginning.

This is my soldering iron of choice. I use the brands butane to make sure I don't have trouble. I have had it for around two years now and use it off and on. It lights and runs for me every time.
