Each and every part of these five-way binding posts was conceived and crafted using the highest quality components to achieve pure signal transfer from your amplifier to your speaker cables.
Milled from large chunks of solid brass, these binding posts are plated with 24 karat gold for an oxidation-resistant finish that perseveres over the tests of time. Wrapped carbon fiber within the thumbscrew adds smart, modern styling.
Unique to this binding post is a rotating collar, with a knurled surface, that makes and keeps constant contact with wire conductors, as well as forked spade connectors, while you tighten the thumbscrew. This keeps wire conductors, and other connectors, straight for the best compression action possible.
Three separate insulation washers-two color-coded washers per binding post-prevent short-circuit conditions, allowing you to use these binding posts on any surface material, including conductive metals. A generous 5/16" diameter internal threaded shank (with 3/8" nut) offers you the ability to install these in materials as thin as 1/8", or as thick as 1".
Installation provisions are provided for bare wire (up to oversized 8 AWG), forked spade terminals, banana plugs, ring terminals (5/16" stud opening to 1/2" outer diameter), and speaker pins. A hollowed-out external threaded shank allows for the rear installation of wire (up to 1/8" overall diameter) through the thumbscrew.
A large 8 AWG solder cup is built onto the end of the internal shank for the permanent installation of wire. Sold two pair per package, two red and two black. Dimensions: Overall length: 2-1/4", thumbscrew diameter: 3/4", threaded shaft diameter: 5/16", internal threaded shaft length: 1-1/4".
