This pick guard is a very light color of mint green actually was too light for meIt's almost white. Other than the color. It's a good guard. However after a month I purchased a darker one

This is a much more realistic and vintage looking color than any aftermarket mint green I've bought. Aftermarket ones are always too green and looks strange. This replaced my white guard that always bothered me. It looks really great now. Paired this with aged white parts and it changed the look dramatically for the better.

I built a guitar based on John Frusciante's 1964 strat. The body I acquired being a 90's American vintage reissue of the 1962 vintage, there were only 8 pick guard screws.Somewhere along the line, one of Frusciante's guitar techs installed an 11 hole pick guard, as is easily seen in photographs of his live performances. This pick guard is easily installed on an 8 hole body so long as you pilot the screw holes with a hand drill. Anything powered would be overkill and sloppy. Pay special attention to the screw that buttresses up against the control cavity, because you will need to angle it to gain any purchase into the wood.I don't know if this would be great for a poly finished guitar, but the nitro body I used it on was absolutely perfect. Have put many hours into playing this guitar with zero issues in regards to the pick guard. The three ply is cut accurately and squared up with the bridge exactly as it should.

Looks like the original mint green guards from the 60's. Great vintage style.

Fender has the best pickguards to me. It seems that every import pickguard that I buy has that scratchy static issue that shielding does not help. Fender makes a better quality pickguard. I like the 62 because of the hole pattern. It's just a little different.

Bought one from Fleor in mint green but it sure did come out green. This is much more subtle. Only downside is that it isn't backed in aluminum shielding. Add some copper tape and you're good to go. Fit perfectly on my project strat.

I got this for a Strat partscaster project that I made fairly closely to early '60s specs, including '60s voiced pickups, vintage taper 250k pots, and a 0.1 uf capacitor. This pickguard was more a style thing--I wanted a mint pickguard, and I know the '62 pickguard is distinguished with one of the mount screw holes set equidistant from the neck and middle pickups. I like that little detail. More modern pickguards have that screw hole set closer to the middle pickup. Not sure why. I like the '62 layout a little better, so I went with this one. It is period correct.Note that the color of the sample image here is kind of misleading. The sample looks a bit yellowed and aged looking, but the actual pickguard is a more subtle shade of mint. I have another Fender pickguard in the same shade of mint on a black Strat, and it's kind of subtle with such a dark color. I got the '62 for a Strat in baby blue, and it really pops out with the pastel color. Also note some of the finishing details. The mount screw holes, pickup screw holes, and switch screw holes are all countersunk, so you can use oval head screws to get the screw heads to sit nice and flush inside the holes. Some aftermarket pickguards don't have these details, so in this case it's worth getting the real deal. Also, there's a small bevel at the base of the neck pocket, supposedly to accommodate adjustment of a truss rod screw at the heel without having to remove the neck, but I'd probably want to carve that out a bit more if I really wanted to use it that way.Sometimes Fender gets their products really right, and this mint '62 spec pickguard is a quality item. I'm glad to have it.

Very nice and warm to any color. The pickguard is a very firm 3 ply material. Fits nicely with black pickups. Authentic and genuine Fender. Pleased

Bought two mint-green pickguards this week, an aftermarket one, and a Fender OEM one. The aftermarket is just fine, but it`s too greenish and doesn`t look natural for my taste, and on the other hand, the Fender OEM has that perfect color that matches really nice with sunburst! Maybe the aftmkt one would match better with an Olympic white strat?
