Product Description
Our tire swing is a fantastic option for playgrounds, parks, and backyards. Measuring 30" in diameter with a 16" opening and 10" depth, it has built-in eye bolts that accept our H173 shackle. The tire weighs 19 lbs. and meets ASTM Standards which require tires to weigh less than 35 lbs. for use as a playground component.
The A145 is perfect for outdoor play because it keeps bugs and water out, and there is no rubber to wear off and stain children's clothes. It is made of durable Polypropylene and has a tensile strength of 1000 lbs., ensuring safe and long-lasting play.
It's important to note that this tire swing is intended for use by no more than three children at a time, and each child should weigh less than 50 lbs. To ensure optimal performance and safety, please adhere to these guidelines.
Under optimal conditions, this product should last up to 5 years, and up to 2 years in harsh conditions. However, some conditions may require replacement sooner. Overall, our tire swing is a durable, safe and fun addition to any playground or backyard.

To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. These are located in the description of every product on our website. Download and print these instructions and keep in a safe place. Our website also has a "Product Testing Information" page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength.
Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions.
The minimum of clearance between the bottom of the tire and the protective surface should not be less than 12". The minimum clearance between the seating surface of a tire swing and the legs of the frame should be 30" when the tire is in a position closest to the legs. The proper use zones needed for a public tire swing set should extend in any direction from a point directly beneath the pivot point for a minimum distance of six feet plus the length of the suspended unit. The use zone should never overlap the use zone of any other equipment. For residential sets see spacing dimensions on Page 4 of the Outdoor Home Playground Safety Handbook. Only one tire swing is allowed per bay. No other type of swing is allowed in bay. Install swing set where a child can easily be supervised. Do not install playground equipment over concrete, asphalt, or any other hard surface. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury to the equipment user. Grass and dirt are not considered protective surfacing because wear and environmental factors can reduce their shock absorbing effectiveness. Carpeting and thin mats are generally not adequate protective surfacing. Install your play equipment on level ground with adequate surfacing and anchoring. Use proper hardware, and tighten all connections. Attach three wider stainless steel H shackles to built in eye bolts. Make sure the wider side is attached to tire and the smaller end is attached to the last link of chain length. If coated chain, you may have to force S-hook or shackle through the chain. Use the narrower H shackles (H172) to connect the chain to the tire swivel. Use the smaller side of the H shackle to connect to the chain, and the wider side to connect to the tire swivel. Attach other two chains in the same manner. Make sure that all H shackles tamper proof bolts are closed properly. You will need an H175 wrench to open and close the H shackles. If you are not using our H shackles, make sure that fasteners are strong enough. We suggest at least 5/16" diameter fasteners. Close according to Fig A1.19 for Fastening Devices. Also, make sure that the fasteners are wide enough so that they do not crimp the tire eyebolt. This could cause the eyebolts to break. A tire swing shall not occupy a swing bay with any other swinging element.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges and/or cracks especially around eye bolts. Check for vandalism. Check for rusty or worn chain. See Tire Swivel for Maintenance on tire swivel. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure S-hooks and/or H-shackles are closed properly. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
