Setup is a nightmare due to elaborate series of button presses required to program in the proper code for your model of garage door opener. That in itself wouldn't be so bad, but you have to do it all over again every time you change the battery. And for a device that is expected to sit outside exposed continuously and work in the middle of winter, especially in the middle of winter (don't want the kids stuck outside in below freezing temps), the battery life is very short. The duration that the required 9-volt battery has enough juice to trigger the opener is measured in weeks. I don't know about you, but messing around with replacing a battery and then trying to punch in a 20 something keystroke combination of button presses to reprogram while standing outside my house in winter isn't something that I want to do every month or so, thank you. Totally worthless. It is currently nothing more than a non-functional wart on my siding.
