Roosebeck Standard Irish Bouzouki with Padded Gig Bag. This 4-course/8-string Irish Bouzouki was adapted from it's Greek-cousin for Celtic music. By far the most common tuning for the Irish bouzouki is G2 D3 A3 D4. Other tunings are G2 D3 A3 E4, and A2 D3 A3 D4.

Stringed instruments must be de-tuned. If the free floating bridge was laid flat when the instrument arrived- then it MUST be laid flat when returned.

Beautiful instrument. Good tone and long decay. Actually has a nice reverb. I would have given it a 5 star if it were not for the fact that one of the A strings broke when bringing it up to pitch. What's with that this is a new instrument it should have new strings that can take the tension of their prescribed notes and octaves. Well I ordered some more strings and I still have one A string working till the backups arrive. Not to dwell to long on it, over all It is a very positive experience and I will enjoy playing on it for many years to come. I recommend this purchase well worth the price. Although not as decorative as other offerings the celtic knot sound hole and spot decorations are nice. I am more interested in the quality though than decorations and in this regard it is a fine instrument. I'm just guessing here but the spot decorations seem to be there to help set up the bridge placement. Not to worry unlike a banjo the bridge is afixed to the sound board. Checked the chromatics and the frets are spot on. It arrived a day early nice surprise.
