The New AlphaBrace Flat Inguinal Hernia Truss is designed to help provide relief from inguinal hernias. The flat truss design has two major benefits; the pads cover a larger area of the groin and the flat pads are more discrete. The wide Velcro closure on the elastic waist band gives you greater control over the compression provided by the Flat Inguinal Hernia Truss. There are two elastic leg straps that go between the legs and attach at the hips which allow you to control how high or low you want the hernia while also providing secure positioning. The Flat Hernia Truss comes with two removable pads so the truss can be used for right, left, or bilateral hernias. Measure around the hips
An inguinal hernia is a protrusion of abdominal-cavity contents through the abdominal muscles in the groin area. Inguinal hernias are very common (lifetime risk of hernia: 27% for men, 3% for women). If you are unsure if the alphabrace inguinal hernia truss is right for we recommend you talk to your doctor. The Inguinal Hernia Truss is an over the counter product and does not require a doctor's prescription, however, it is always a good idea to talk your doctor about health aids / (inguinal hernia truss) you are using.
Application Instructions:
Place the Flat Inguinal Hernia Aid on the abdomen with the truss pad(s) over desired location (hernia). Slip elastic belt around body and fasten with velcro closure. Bring elastic leg straps under and around legs. Fasten leg straps in the buckles on the sides of the Flat Hernia aid / truss.
Care Instructions for the Inguinal Hernia Aid:
The Inguinal Hernia Aid can be machined washed with mild detergent. Lay the Inguinal Hernia Aid flat to dry. Do not use a hot dryer or iron on the Inguinal Hernia Aid.

The belt is great, but the pad is very hard and thick so you can see it in your pants and it's a little uncomfortable. I prefer to use a sock over the pad

This product worked well, during my 10-day walking tour of Israel. It kept my guts on the correct side of my muscles! One suggestion to the manufacturer: The rectangular ring through which the groin strap goes should be round. After tightening the strap, the rectangle rotates to the narrow end. Causing minor discomfort.

Love it - man, it does the trick keeping an old (failed ) hernia mesh under control - its comfortable works - just hope it holds up a long time

Your hernia may grow bigger. It doesn't stay in place. You may need to buy extra pads to reinsure. I added Velcro strips and glued them ect. But a physically demanding job it will last. Watch growth...

I have a month to go before hernia surgery and I was dying. I put this on today and no more pain. Size wise I was on the borderline of getting the S/M or the L/XL. I went with the S/M. Not the most comfortable thing to wear, but in this case I think tighter is better. I'll take mild discomfort over horrible pain any day. Wish I had bought this two months ago when the pain first started, and has gradually got worse.
