I like this little mortar and pestle. It is a good size for altar work or grinding spices for one or two people. And, because I have smaller hands, I find it comfortable to use. I am also a moon-lover, so the triple moon design is great to find. Some of the cons are: I thought the price could have been a few dollars lower due to the size; would have preferred several photos from different angles and that I could zoom in on when I was looking at it to buy; finally, and most importantly, the product I received looked very different from the photo in color and detail. I was unhappy with the first one, so I ordered a replacement.The first mortar and pestle I received was a very different color of soapstone from the photo and even the mortar and pestle were different colors from each other. One of the natural lines in the stone ran thru the engraving and made the stone appear to have a crack in it. The second one was also very different from the one pictured and again mortar and pestle were different colors from each other. Since there is only one photo in seller listing, I will attempt to post photos of side by side comparisons of the two that I received so that you can see the differences. Photos will show both sides of exteriors, the interiors and the pestles. (I've loaded 3 photos, but only 1 shows up inconsistently :-( )

perfect size for pill crushing, problem is because it is made of soapstone the inside rim of the bowl can be easily chipped or damaged when you tap on the mortar with the pestal
