I ordered this product and will be ordering the other fix by API so that in case my fish start to show signs of illness I will be prepared.

I used the product according to the directions for a week. My fish had tail rot and was quickly losing his tail. It is growing back now and I think all will go back to normal.

Just before leaving for a long weekend, we noticed that our beloved ryukin goldfish had one very long cut in each of his two tails. We opted not to do Maracyn or anything else, since we wouldn't be there to dose and monitor. We have not had good luck turning around injuries and illnesses in the past, so I was really worried. Based on reviews, I ordered some Melafix once we got home. We're now only on day 2 out of 7 to 10 of the treatment course, and the cuts are almost completely healed! Wow. Incredible. The bonus is that the product is made from melaleuca/tea tree oil, so it's not a weird, toxic chemical, and it has a pleasant, eucalyptus-type scent. The further I get into fishkeeping, the more I see the benefit of having a few really great treatments on hand so you can react right away when you first see a problem. I would recommend Melafix for any fishkeeper's home pharmacy!

I love melafix. I have a large aquarium with a million goldfish and someone always seems to be sick or chewed on. I add melafix with every water change and I have no problems. It seems to take care of everything!

I originally got some from my dad for my son's goldfish. One of them had some white fuzzy stuff all over his body. Not active in the corner dying...Within a couple days the stuff was clearing up and he was back to his normal self. AND right after that one of his other fish got it. That's when I ordered this. And just like before took care of the problem almost instantly.

Treats for tail rot, open or red sores, wounds, pop eye, cloudy eye, body slime and mouth fungus. One medication with many treatment options. Easy to read and follow directions. No need to get a medication for every fish infection. Great price considering what each different treatment would cost if bought individually. Fast shipping too. I would recommend this highly. Bought new fish from major chain pet store, did not think but put the fish in a populated tank the next day I noticed that the algea eater had fin rot, the tetras had ich and the mollies had fungus. Treated with melafix and 7 days later fins started growing back fungus gone and my tank is healthy again. Also set up a ten gallon tank to use as a quarantine area, it is much easier to treat a 10 gallon than a 55 gallon and less medication is needed and you avoid the risk of contaiminating the whole tank.

Works great. We treated for fin rot and within 6 days it had completely resolved on our platy fish. I should also mention that his case had progressed, it was not mild and this still worked!
