This does help with keeping my Thumb from moving too much. The Cartilage is totally gone on my Left Hand, so it does keep it from over using it more than I should. Make sure you follow the information and measuring tip from the manufactures to get the right fit.

Good quality velcro is not used on the thin strap which holds the splint in place. Odd since good quality is used on the part of the product that secures the splint in place around the hand. Definitely room for improvement!

I purchased the size recommended by my doctor, and they are a perfect fit. Slim and not as clunky as expected, these gloves help alleviate the pain (attributed to arthritis carpal tunnel) by keeping my wrists and thumbs in proper positions.

After posting this review I finally found a telephone number for the manufacturer. They explained they were aware of the product and would be more than happy to send me a replacement. Very happy because I am quite pleased with the brace.

These are so much better than the store bought ones that fit either hand. They have a little flexibility, while still providing stability, and the placement is just a much better fit overall (makes them more comfortable). They are a little hard to get on with one hand but doable. My biggest issue with these is that they lack breathability so my hands are constantly sweating. I use arthritis gloves underneath to help but still less than ideal. Otherwise a quality product. I wear on both hands. These were recommended by my OT.

The Velcro strap that goes around the thumb is not stitched but appears to be glued. The strap is two layers and has a tendency to separate after 4 to 6 months of daily use. It is difficult to differentiate between this one and one with stitching when ordering.

I use it overnight but find it very comfortable to wear through the day. It alleviates the pain of arthritic thumb joints.

Like other reviews mentioned, this wrap does the job of helping with thumb pain due to arthritis. The only downside is the material. It will fray and need trimming. Not sure what alternative there is if you want a good fit and stability with a bit of flexibility. Am trying to be careful with it and not get it wet or take it on and off excessively. The velcro will catch on a sweater so be careful.

According to the measuring chart, the first one I ordered was too small. Now that I have the correct size, I like it, it's made well and it's comfortable. I have arthritis in my thumb and when I use my hand for repetitive movements, like pulling weeds or chopping food, I wear it. I put a plastic glove over it to keep it dry.lilsista

I have severe arthritis in my thumb and I sleep with this brace on at night to protect it. The downside is, the velcro doesn't last very long. I wish, for the cost of these braces, they could use a better quality of velcro or find another option for it to fasten.

I have painful joints in my thumbs. My hand therapist encouraged me to purchase these. I wear them as I sleep. In the day time I wear another support as they are the ones the therapist made and molded to my own hands.These support gloves should be comfortable and breathable and they are. Make sure you tape measure your entire circumstanceof each hand so you get the correct sizing.
